The Department for Education's update to the further education sector on 6 May confirmed that the Teaching Vacancies service, the government's free national recruitment platform for teaching roles, will be expanded to include statutory FE providers, including FE colleges and sixth-form colleges, by the end of 2026. The service, currently used by schools, allows institutions to post roles publicly and candidates to search and apply without the cost of commercial recruitment platforms. The DfE is inviting FE providers to take part in the development and testing of the platform ahead of full roll
