The Department for Education (DfE) has launched a call for evidence on how children and young people aged 5 to 16 use digital screens. The research and expert knowledge will be used to inform new parental guidance and future school policy.

The government is asking people who work with children such as, health practitioners, educators, charities and other experts to submit their evidence on the impact of screen use on children’s development, health and wellbeing by 29 June. Screen use can include social media, gaming, educational technology, AI tools and smart devices.
