KCSIE 2026 published: the AI and filtering changes matter most for EdTech.

The Department for Education published the final version of Keeping Children Safe in Education 2026 on 7 July, two days ago. It comes into force on 1 September 2026 and replaces the 2025 edition, which remains statutory until 31 August. Schools and colleges have the summer to review their child protection policies, update training and align governance arrangements with the new requirements.
