Who owns the data when your university gives you an AI tutor?

When a university deploys an AI tutoring platform, a learning analytics dashboard or an adaptive assessment tool, it is entering into a data relationship that extends well beyond the educational transaction. The platform records what the student does: which resources they access, how long they spend on each, where they make mistakes, how quickly they recover from errors, how their performance changes over time.
